On October 10th 2009, Michelle Guobadia  Director of the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life and Jaimie Shelley President of the Panhellenic Association received The Membership Recruitment Award at the 2009 Panehellenic Association  National convention. This award honors the hard work and dedication the ladies of the PHA committed to a successful recruitment process. This award is a tribute to  planning a variety of pre-recruitment events for prospective new members. The Panhellenic executive  board and recruitment counselors hosted an ice cream social, a venture event, student organization showcase, house tours and Panhellenic cookout these events were successful and displayed the strength of the Panhellenic community at UNC Charlotte.

 Assistant Director Position Description

Welcome to UNC Charlotte Fraternity & Sorority Life!!

On behalf of the University of North Carolina Charlotte Greek Community, welcome to the University! We encourage you to take a look at all that the University’s fraternities and sororities can offer you. Fraternities and sororities play an important role on campus as well as throughout the community.

Leadership, scholarship, community service, and brotherhood/sisterhood are the pillars of each of our organizations. By focusing on these four ideals, one can expect both a positive collegiate and Greek experience.

√ More than seven million men and women in the US and Canada are Greek affiliated.

√ UNC Charlotte Greeks are required to maintain a specific grade point average to remain in good standing.

√ Greek affiliated students are more likely to be involved in student organizations than non-Greeks.

√ Greek members have a higher graduation/retention rate than non-Greek students.
